The Setback Trees Project

For those of you who have not gotten word, this is a joint project that JP Trees is working on with Earthworks. We collaborate to plant trees all over JP in front yards. Why? Because their chances of survival are better in yards, than between cement and asphalt on the sidewalk. This project is part of JP Trees' mission to enhance and renew the urban canopy of Jamaica Plain.

Midsummer Updates

Thanks to all of our volunteers! This past spring volunteers have:
* planted trees in JP front yards on three different Saturdays
* done "site evaluations" of yards where stewards wanted trees
* put up flyers and even knocked on doors around Jamaica Plain
* tabled at Harvest Coop and Wake Up the Earth
* created beautiful wooden signs to promote our program
